Everyone knows the feeling of struggling to escape a song that’s being PLAYED TO DEATH . . . whether it be at parties, at weddings, in stores, in a friend’s car, etc.
So someone asked people online what song THEY thought has been played to death, and naturally, the results were wide-ranging, depending on what people listen to. Here are 12 highlights:
1. “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee
2. “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X
3. “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey
4. “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars
5. “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion
6. “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd
7. “Old Time Rock & Roll” by Bob Seger
8. “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen
9. “Let It Go” from “Frozen”
10. “Smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas
11. “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen
12. “Baby Shark”
I think this list is pretty spot on, but I still love some of these songs, even though I’ve heard them a bajillion times. Some of them I never want to hear again (I’m looking at you Baby Shark). I do have to add one though… “Macarena.” They played it SO MUCH in the 90s that I’m STILL burned out!
